The power of high PR+relevant paid links? Thoughts?

Hey guys,

So after the Panda update I've been testing some different backlink strategies.
I've found that High PR+Relevant Paid links are still working pretty well.
Does anyone have any experience in terms of this or thoughts?
I'd love to hear it!

Hey,
that paid link will work till google catch that link as a spam.
If your linked site is relevant to your category of site, also high PR & doesn't mentioned any stuff's about paid links in the content sothat link will be valid, because google can't recognize that link is paid or not.

Paid link is very beneficial for rankings until and unless it is used in excess and starts falling in the category of Spam and falls in the eyes of Google and is penalised.

I have experienced this too. I have analyzed top 5 competitor back links of my niche and I have found the same thing i.e. relevant paid links specially from good authority high PR directories. I have read in an article that Google has algorithms which identifies paid links as well as links which are not niche related i.e. irrelevant. I am still confused just like you because gambling sites are easily penalized by Google but what about paid directories or other sites which clearly mentions several queries such as "become a sponsor" or "our sponsors".

Of course paid backlinks are also well of high quality relevant backlinks.
