I'm trying to rank two projects that I run simultaneously. Let's call them, the "money site" where I sell my designing services, and the "traffic side project" where I share useful stuff about design and things like that. I created the latter just for the purpose of spreading link juice to the "money site". I don't have than many resources to allocate for both. All ad campaigns that I'm running are for the "money site".
I was thinking to enlist my "side project" to various listing platforms just to increase its visibility. Can you name a few good places?
Thanks!

The best e-commerce platform is the the custom built one.

An inexpensive DIY off-shelf marketplace builder can be great option to get things going. They can offer the prices they do because you need to fit within their framework. Unfortunately, to date we are not aware on any successful VC funding or significant revenue coming from any off-the-shelf marketplace product. And there is a good reason for that. At some point you need to scale and adjust your business processes and workflow and that is much harder (if even possible) with off-the-shelf solutions. When that happens you basically have to scrap what you've done and build your own system from scratch. All of that means much longer times before you can see real revenue and a big overall development cost.

Traditional MVP no longer works. Users' attention span is getting shorter and shorter. They expect product quality compared with big sites, competition is tough and the cost of MVP development can easily top $100K (despite what developers may initially estimate!)

I think Google My Business is one of the best listing site, as it "connects you directly with customers, whether they're looking for you on Search, Maps or Google+."
