History
The ATWiki was started in August 30, 2006 as part of the Assistive Tech National Public Website on Assistive Technology. The grant for the project was funded by National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) and the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA). In 2008, the project which had begun to slow, was revived with the creation of the "This Day in AT History" project which seeks to combine history information on assistive technology and disability from various sources into one large online resource. As of June 2008, The ATWiki hosts over 780 articles.
