AdBlock is an ad blocking extension for the Google Chrome web browser. It is the fifth most popular extension[1] for Chrome. AdBlock removes advertisements from web pages according to a list of blocking rules selected by the user.
According to an article in the New York Times[2], the extension was created on December 8th, 2009, the day that support for extensions was added to Chrome. As of January 8th, 2010, it has 60,395 users[3].
