Novell Pulse is an enterprise collaboration software platform under development from Novell slated for release during the first half of 2010.[1] The software is the first major development outside Google to utilize the Google Wave Federation Protocol.[2] Pulse was originally an autonomous project; following the launch of Google Wave, Novell began working to allow interoperability between the two platforms.[3]
Service
Pulse will first be offered as a cloud service, but it is expected that Novell will offer standalone software to enterprises for local deployment, as is currently the case with Groupwise, Teaming, and other Novell software.
