The Qcubed Development Framework is an open-source PHP 5 web application framework which builds an Object Relational Model (ORM) directly from a SQL based relational database.
Qcubed is a community driven fork of Qcodo after its creator left the project for 14 month to build a new community collaboration tool. Qcodo was conceived and developed by Mike Ho at Quasidea.
After the split Qcubed maintained the existing codebased with more than 200 resolved tickets resulting in a new stable release. Also adding new features that made it easier for developers to start out with the framework like an installer and a pluginsystem
The development environment works with SVN and a trac bugtracker. The code and website are maintained by 10 core developers. Responsibility for the code is shared among them.
Current goals are to add Jquery instead of the custom Javascript code as well as making the framework 5.3 compatible. Latest commits on the experimental branch show that this is happening with in the next month.
